Class News Letters
History Week
What a fabulous week it was! Building on children’s learning about beliefs, the era of history we focussed on during the week was the Egyptians. The children compared and contrasted this period of history with the Greeks that have already been covered; they have researched the different Egyptian Gods and learnt about the mummification process which they found interesting and a little gory at times!
World Mental Health Day
As part of 'World Mental Health Day' the children took part in a variety of activities to raise awareness of the campaign #HelloYellow. Here are a few pictures of the children promoting this cause.
Mini Olympics
The whole class took part in a sport inter school competition. The children completed a variety of events during the afternoon from tennis to athletic activities and basketball amongst others. The children demonstrated their team spirit, cheering each other on throughout events and even other schools that were competing.
Road Safety
When pupils reach Year 5 they have the opportunity to walk home independently. The class learnt what the Green Cross Code is, how to cross roads safely and explored the different types of road crossings. We even had a wander to a local road and the children put into practice what they had learnt!
