The outdoor Gym

The gym is up and running! The children are thoroughly enjoying using the equipment at their break and lunch times. The school council have done a great job at planning the gym and were so excited to see their plans come to life! 

School council have been busy planning the outdoor gym for our school. Their plans have been approved and it will be installed just before the Easter holidays. The school council members really thought about which equipment would be the best for the children at George Street.

The school council meet every two weeks to discuss ideas as to how they can develop and adapt things at George Street. They are busy planning an exciting new project to help George Street students become healthier and fitter.

SCHOOL COUNCIL

School council were very busy at the start of this academic year with the filming of our school tour. Each child worked collaboratively to represent the children of their class and show all of George Streets attributes; for a virtual school tour.

During the children in need appeal (that followed the 5 ways to wellbeing) the children organised a food drive, organising boxes for donations and writing a letter to be sent to parents.

In Black History month School Council judged an art competition that happened across the school. Choosing the class winner and then the overall school winner. The winning entries can be seen in the school office.
