Year 1 taster day! 

Year 1 travelled to the sports centre where they had the opportunity to take part in different activities. Children enjoyed trampolining, target games, bowling and cycling. 

The sports crew have made an excellent start on Perry's points. So far children have completed three activities; athletics, basketball and cricket. 

Perry's Points

After half term, every school that is part of the DSSN has been given a weekly challenge to complete. This is to promote and get children excited about the the Commonwealth Games. On a Friday afternoon, the sports crew will run the challenges for each class. Each challenge represents a different sport at the Commonwealth Games. As a school, we need to complete the challenges and fill up the crown. 

The first challenge will be completed on Friday 21st April. 

Year 3 Athletics: 

Last week, our year 3 children attended an athletics event at Laurette Academy Secondary School. Children participated in a range activities such as; archery, target games and hockey. All children had great fun and as a school we came second place! Well done Year 3! 

Cross Country 

Children in years, 3,4,5 and 6 had the opportunity to take part in a cross country event held at Longdean Secondary school. The kids had a fantastic morning out competing in their races and cheering on their class mates. All children had the chance to either enter a competitive race, aspire race or the walking race. We are so proud of all the children for taking part and showing great resilience and determination.
