PE: We do PE on a Wednesday and Friday - Please can children have their PE kits in school on these days.
Reading Books: Will be changed on a Monday and Wednesday. The RWI books will be changed on the Monday and the other books on a Monday and Wednesday.
Children in Need Day - Scavenger Hunt
We have been running around the school searching to lots of different things today on our Children in Need scavenger hunt.
PE
In PE we have ben doing gymnastics and practicing our climbing skills.
World Poetry Day
We had a whole school visit from the Poet, Paul Lyalls who shared some of his work with us. We then had our very own workshop where we wrote ‘What If?’ poems using everybody’s great ideas – we really thought outside of the box!
Brazilian Music Workshop
As part of Black History Month, we had a Brazilian percussion workshop. The class were taught how to clap rhythms, sing songs to a beat and finally play a samba on the drums. The pupils also learnt first-hand from Marcus what life is like in Brazil and where the country is located in the world.
World Poetry Day
Year 1 Maths
We have been busy in maths since the start of term learning about numbers up to 10. We have been making the numbers in a variety of ways using bead strings, multilink, counters and our hands.
