We conducted an investigation to find out whether salt, sugar, flour, sand or soil melted the ice the quickest. Here are our ice 'mountains'. We found out that the salt worked the fastest and learned that Mr Williamson puts salt on our playground when it is icy to melt the ice and make it safe for us.
